ACT No. 8 AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 13:312.1(B), 621.22, 621.24, 1136(A), (D), and (E), 1403, 1875(10)(c), and 1952(15), to enact R.S. 13:1136(F) and (G), and to repeal R.S. 13:1171; relative to district, family, city and appellate court judges and commissioners; and to provide for an additional judge for the Court of Appeal for the Second Circuit; to provide for the compensation for the additional judge; to provide for his election and his term of office and those of his successors in office; to provide for an additional judge each for the Twenty-Second Judicial District, the Twenty-Fourth Judicial District, the East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court, and the Monroe City Court; to provide two additional judges in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court; to eliminate the commissioners in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court; and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 728 AN ACT To amend and reenact R.S. 13:1952(15), relative to the Monroe City Court; to create an additional judgeship; to provide for the election and compensation for such judge; to require two judges of the court to be elected from election districts within the territorial jurisdiction of the court; to require one judge to be elected at large from the territorial jurisdiction of the court; to prohibit the practice of law by city court judges; to provide for effectiveness and conditions; and to provide for related matters.
