ACT No. 18. AN ACT To abolish the offices of Justice of the Peace and Constable in Ward Vour of Webster Parish and to establish in lieu thereof the City Court of Minden, consisting of a Judge and a Marshal and defining their qualifications, powers, jurisdiction, terms of office; fixing their compensation and manner of payment thereof.
Whereas, evidence has been submitted to the Legislature of the proper publication of notice of the intention to apply for the passage of this Act, as required by Article IV, Section 6 of the Constitution of Louisiana for the year 1921, and evidence has been submitted to the Legislature showing that the City of Minden has a population in excess of five thousand inhabitants and that Ward Four of Webster Parish, Louisiana, which contains the City of Minden, has a population in excess of ten thousand inhabitants.
