A Brief History of the Orleans Criminal District Court: 1834

AN ACT
To repeal as far as relates to the Parishes of Plaquemines, St. Bernard and Jefferson, the Act entitled, "An Act to establish Courts of Criminal Jurisdiction in the Parishes comprising the first judicial district, except the Parish of Orleans and for other purposes." Approved April 2d, 1832.

SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That the act approved April 2d, 1832, entitled  "An Act to establish Courts of Criminal Jurisdiction in the parishes comprising the first judicial district, except the parish of Orleans and for other purposes, be and is hereby repealed as far as relates to the parishes of St. Bernard, Plaquemines and Jefferson, and that the present act shall be in force from the date of its passage, even with respect to such crimes and misdemeanors which may have been committed while said act was in force.
