A Brief History of the Orleans Criminal District Court: 1942

ACT No. 24.       AN ACT
To define and punish the crime of conspiring to commit sabotage; to define "sabotage", as used herein; to provide the obligations and privileges of witnesses testifying in prosecutions hereunder; to repeal all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith; and the necessity for the immediate passage of this act having been certified by the Governor to the Legislature while in session, to provide that this act shall become effective immediately upon approval by the Governor.

ACT No. 25.    AN ACT
To define "sabotage", as used herein; to make the commission of sabotage a crime and to provide the punishment therefor; to repeal all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith; and the necessity for the immediate passage of this act having been certified by the Governor to the Legislature while in session, to provide that this act shall become effective immediately upon approval by the Governor.

ACT No. 26.    AN ACT
To define and punish as a crime any attempt to commit sabotage; to define the word "sabotage", as used herein; to provide a penalty for attempting to commit sabotage; to provide the obligations and privileges of witnesses testifying in prosecutions hereunder; to repeal all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith; and the necessity for the immediate passage of this act having been certified by the Governor to the Legislature while in session, to provide that this act shall become effective immediately upon approval by the Governor.

ACT No. 45.    AN ACT
In relation to second and subsequent offenders convicted of felony violations their sentence and resentence and prescribing the penalties and specifically repealing Act No. 15 of 1928 and Section 974 of Revised Statutes of 1870, and all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith. 

ACT No. 46.     AN ACT
To provide for determinate sentences; and more particularly to amend and re-enact Article 529 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the State of Louisiana, as amended by Act 98 of 1936.
