A Brief History of the Orleans Criminal District Court: 1973

ACT No. 102    AN ACT
To amend and reenact Section 1373.1 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to increase the salary of minute clerks of the Criminal District Court for the parish of Orleans.

ACT No. 151      AN ACT
To amend and reenact Paragraph (3) of Subsection B of Section 1373, Paragraph (25) of Section 1381 and Section 1381.1, all of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and to amend said Title 13 by adding thereto a new Section to be designated as Section 973, all relative to court reporters, to require the court reporters for the Criminal District Court for the parish of Orleans to include in the transcript of cases appealed to the court of appeals bills of exceptions, motions, writs and all court proceedings and to increase the fees charged therefor; to provide with respect to fees charged by such court reporters in indigent and nonindigent cases; to provide for a court reporter for the Eighteenth Judicial District Court in and for the parishes of Iberville, Pointe Coupee and West Baton Rouge, to provide for the appointment, qualifications, compensation, powers, duties, and functions of said reporter, including fees to be charged by and paid to said reporter, additional costs to be taxed, validity of compromises, bonds to be required, deputy court reporters, the services of said reporter in other parishes of said judicial district, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto.
