ACT No. 91 AN ACT
To amend and re-enact the title and Sections 1 and 3 of Act No. 51 of the Legislature of Louisiana for the year 1950 entitled: "To provide a Retirement and Relief Fund for the Clerks of Court, deputies and employees of Each Parish of the State, the Parish of Orleans excepted; to provide for a public corporation to administer said funds known as the Board of Trustees; to provide for the election of members of the said Board of Trustees and the officers of said Board; and to provide for the duties, powers and functions of said Board and officers of said Board necessary to carry out and put into effect the provisions of this Act; to provide for contributions to said Fund by authorizing and requiring the Sheriff to deduct a percentage of the aggregate amount of taxes shown to be collectible by the tax rolls and authorizing the Clerks of Courts and/or Police Juries to make monthly deductions from the salaries, and/or earnings of the Clerks of Court, deputies and employees throughout the state; to provide for disability payments to the Clerks of Court, deputies and employees for retirement pay, for pay to widows and children or dependent parents of Clerks of Court, deputies and employees, exempting said Fund and payments made therefrom for disabilities or pay from seizure for debt; and repealing all laws in conflict herewith and providing that in the event an section, part or portion of this Act should be found unconstitutional, the remaining portion shall be valid and in full force and effect.", by amending the title to provide that the Clerks of the Criminal and Civil District Courts of Orleans Parish, their deputies and employees and the Minute Clerks and Stenographers and/or Reporters of the Criminal and Civil District Courts of Orleans Parish may participate in the Clerk's Retirement Bill and to give them credit for time served in any capacity in any Parish or State Court.
ACT No. 754 A JOINT RESOLUTION
Proposing an amendment to Section 33 of Article 7 of the Constitution of Louisiana, relative to the election, qualification and term of office of judges of the District Courts of the State:
