A Brief History of the Orleans Criminal District Court: 1952

ACT No. 75.     AN ACT
To amend and reenact* Section 1371 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 relative to the salary of the clerk of the Criminal District Court of Orleans Parish and payment thereof.

ACT No. 76.   AN ACT
To amend and reenact Section 1372 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 relative to the salaries of the deputy clerks of the Criminal District Court of Orleans Parish and payment thereof.

Act No. 251.    AN ACT
To amend and re-enact Section 1164 of Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 relative to the appointment, duties and compensation of parish custodians of voting machines.

ACT No. 405.   AN ACT
To authorize the Clerk of the Criminal District Court for the Parish of Orleans to employ an attorney at law, to provide for his salary and the manner of payment thereof; and repeal all laws, or parts of laws, in conflict herewith.

ACT No. 429.   AN ACT
To amend and re-enact Section 981 of Title 40 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, prescribing penalty for violation of the uniform narcotics drug,* law (Subpart A of Part X of Chapter 4 of Title 40 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950) and providing penalties for included and lesser offenses of said law; and providing penalties for violation of this law by persons convicted as mutiple* felonious offenders.

ACT No. 433.  AN ACT
To amend and re-enact Section 71 of Title 14 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to the crime of issuing worthless checks.

ACT No. 451.   AN ACT
To amend and re-enact Paragraph A of Act 225 of the Regular Session of 1950, entitled: "An Act to amend and re-enact Section 1373 of Title 13 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to minute clerks and court reporters."

ACT No. 506.    AN ACT
Requiring Communists and members of Communist Front Organizations as listed by the United States Department of Justice, to register with the Department of the Public Safety;* providing that neither the names of nominees of the Communist Party nor the names of Communists shall appear upon the ballots in primary or general elections; providing that members of Communist Front Organizations shall not hold non-elective positions or jobs; providing criminal penalties; containing a short title; declaring an emergency; and declaring the public policy of the State of Louisiana relative to Communists.
