A Brief History of the Orleans Criminal District Court: 1986

ACT No. 241             AN ACT
To amend and reenact R.S. 15:571.11(D), relative to dispositions of fines, forfeitures, and certain costs of probation imposed in criminal cases by the courts of Orleans Parish; to provide that fines, forfeitures, and costs of probation imposed in criminal cases in Orleans Parish be paid to the criminal sheriff of Orleans Parish and thereafter divided equally by the criminal district court and district attorney of Orleans Parish; and to provide for related matters.
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of Louisiana.

ACT No. 935          AN ACT
To amend and reenact Code of Criminal Procedure Art. 267, relative to extradition, to provide that a defendant arrested in Orleans Parish for extradition shall be brought first to a judge, a magistrate judge, or a commissioner of the magistrate section of the criminal district court, and to provide for related matters.

ACT No. 936           AN ACT
To amend and reenact R.S. 13:1346(D), relative to the criminal district court of Orleans Parish, to authorize the magistrate judge and the commissioners of the magistrate section of the criminal district court of Orleans Parish to conduct extradition hearings, and to provide for related matters.
